Frequently Asked Questions

  • Consulting- we offer clinical program development and subject matter expert services to individuals and corporations based on their needs. Our team works with human resource departments, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs, corporate wellness programs, community development organizations, law enforcement departments, and other entities.

Clinical Therapy Services- we offer evidenced-based clinical services to individuals, families, and groups. These services are offered by licensed mental health professionals.

For more information on programs and services, please review our site and feel free to schedule a FREE 15-minute consult.

  • Our fees for clinical services range from $100-$175 per clinical hour (45 minutes). Our rates range based on the identified therapist, licensing credential, and their background/expertise. The specific rates are listed on the disclosure statements on The Individual page for Individual and Group Counseling.

All fees are due on the date of service prior to the session.

Cancellation Policy: If you are unable to keep your appointment, you must notify us at least 24 hours in advance. If advance notice is not received, you will be financially responsible for the full payment of the session you missed.

  • Effectiveness of teletherapy (online therapy) depends on the individual’s preference and ability to connect and engage in the process virtually. Telehealth is convenient because it enables you to receive the same quality care as in an office, but in the comfort of your own home or anywhere, on your own time. With your busy schedule and demands of daily life, telehealth increases access to mental health treatment!

  • We work by appointment only. Once you’ve decided to work with us, you may click on appointments and schedule with your identified therapist based on their availability in the scheduler. For assistance you may call us at 404-692-3955. Please give us 24-48 hours to return your call.

  • We are “out of network” with all insurance plans. If you have verified that your plan has out of network mental health coverage and would still like to utilize your insurance to cover some of the cost of our services, we will gladly provide you with a superbill for services for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. When contacting your insurance company to determine your out of network coverage, ask the following questions:

    • What is my outpatient, out of network mental health coverage?

    • What is my deductible and how much have I met of my deductible this year?

    • What is the percentage I will be reimbursed?

    • What claim form should I use and where should I send it?

Please know that even if your insurance company offers out of network benefits, they may still deny your reimbursement and we are not liable for those charges that you have already incurred.

  • Counseling is typically anxiety-provoking for many new clients, so it is not unusual to feel uncomfortable for the first few sessions. Once you start to form a relationship with your therapist and learn what to expect, the nerves will decrease. Congratulate yourself for having the courage to make the appointment, initiating change in your life!

You can prepare for your first session by completing the client history beforehand online, as well as a list of any questions you may have. We will spend the first minutes of the session going over paperwork and our informed consent so that you are aware of your rights as well as our office policies and procedures. Once that is out of the way, we will then work with you to fully understand your areas of concern and start to develop goals and a plan to meet those goals.

  • The answer to these questions depends on several factors and varies from person to person. Your goals for therapy, the severity of the issues discussed, and your openness to actively participate in your treatment and complete homework assignments are all factors in the length of treatment. Your level of motivation and willingness to apply what is learned during sessions to your life also has a large influence on the number of sessions.

Our goal is help you meet your goals as quickly as possible; therefore, we will continually review our treatment goals collaboratively with you to assess your progress and to determine if treatment needs to be adjusted in any way.

  • Therapists are professionals who have completed a counseling, social work or marriage and family program at a graduate level. Independently level-licensed therapists have worked on average three (3) years under direction and supervision, completing about the required number of clinical hours and supervision hours, to earn the credential of a LCSW, LPC, or LMFT. Each licensure body has their own credentialing requirements for professionals to complete for more information see the links below.

These individuals completed the states requirement determined by each program to become credentialed as the following:

    Clinical Social Worker:

    • Licensed Master Social Worker (Associate)

    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Independently Licensed)

    Licensed Professional Counselor

    • Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC)

    • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

    • Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs (CACREP) and passed the National Counseling Exam (NCE).

    Marriage and Family Therapist

    • Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

    • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Continued education is required yearly to maintain licensure.

Life Coaches are professionals who support and guide individuals through personal or career challenges to meet an identified goal(s). Currently, there is not a licensing requirement for life coaching services. However, there are certification programs or continuing education training focused on teaching individuals the fundamental principles of how to effectively coach individuals from point A to point B.

Licensed mental health professionals who have studied coaching or completed training may offer coaching services. Life coaches may only practice therapy if they have completed the necessary requirements of completing graduate school, clinical hours, clinical supervision, and testing as identified by the specific licensing body.
